Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Secure Swap?
Secure Swap is a neutral third-party service that helps two people safely trade items online.
Instead of sending items directly to each other, both parties send their items to Secure Swap. We verify, document, and coordinate the exchange to reduce risk and prevent scams.

What types of items can be traded?
Secure Swap supports a wide range of items, including:
-
Collectibles (trading cards, slabs, sealed products)
-
Electronics
-
Sneakers
-
Other high-value personal items
If you’re unsure whether your item is suitable, please contact us before submitting a trade.

How does a trade start?
Both traders must individually complete the Secure Swap Trade Submission Form.
Each trader:
-
Selects the correct pricing tier based on the weight of their own item
-
Provides details about their item and trade partner
-
Submits payment
The trade only proceeds once both traders have completed payment.

When do I receive shipping details?
Shipping details are only provided after both traders have paid.
This ensures fairness and prevents one party from shipping an item before the trade is fully confirmed.

How does Secure Swap verify items?
Once items arrive at Secure Swap:
-
We inspect the items against the submitted trade details
-
We document condition using photos and/or video
-
Evidence is shared with both traders for review before proceeding
Secure Swap verifies condition and consistency but does not authenticate items unless explicitly stated.

What happens after verification?
After verification:
-
Both traders review the evidence provided
-
If both parties approve, Secure Swap ships the items to their new owners
-
Tracking information is provided once items are dispatched
-

What if I reject the trade?
If either trader rejects the trade based on the evidence provided:
-
The trade is cancelled
-
Items are returned to their original owners
-
Return shipping is included at no additional cost
No pressure, no penalties — your approval is required to proceed.

What if my trade partner doesn’t complete payment?
If only one party submits payment:
-
The trade does not proceed
-
No shipping details are released
-
The paid party will be refunded in accordance with our refund policy
-

Is Secure Swap insured?
Yes.
All items handled by Secure Swap are covered by insurance while in our possession, providing protection during inspection, verification, and storage in line with our Shipping and Insurance Policy.
For full details, coverage limits, and exclusions, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

How long does a trade usually take?
Typical timeframes are:
-
Incoming shipping to Secure Swap: 1–5 business days
-
Verification: 1–2 business days after arrival
-
Outgoing shipping: 1–2 business days after approval
Timeframes may vary depending on courier services and peak periods.

What pricing tier should I choose?
Each trader selects a tier based on the weight of their own item, not the combined trade.
If the incorrect tier is selected, Secure Swap may contact you to resolve any difference before proceeding.

Can I trade internationally?
Secure Swap currently focuses on domestic trades.
International trades may be available on a case-by-case basis — please contact us before submitting a trade.

Does Secure Swap buy or sell items?
No.
Secure Swap does not buy, sell, or take ownership of items.
We act solely as a neutral intermediary to verify and coordinate trades.
